Important: Reserving equipment does not reserve the park. Contact the park or recreation department first to confirm the site reservation, inflatable rules, approved surfaces, anchoring requirements, water use, generator rules, insurance requirements, delivery access, and operating hours.

How to Plan Your Party in a Park

Park rules vary by location. Completing these steps in order helps prevent last-minute problems with permits, power, placement, or delivery.

Reserve the Park

Request Approval

Ask whether inflatables, generators, concessions, water use, and staking are permitted.

Check Insurance

Determine whether the venue needs proof of insurance or a certificate with special wording.

Choose Rentals

Review dimensions, setup area, access, blower quantity, surface, and rider information.

Reserve Online

Set an eligible reservation for only $20 after confirming the location can accommodate it.

Popular Rentals for Park Parties

Choose attractions based on guest ages, event size, available space, approved surface, power, access, and the park’s rules.

Park Setup and Delivery Requirements

Setup Location

  • Provide the complete setup area listed on the selected item page.
  • Confirm the park-approved surface and anchoring method.
  • Select a level area free of overhead obstructions, sprinklers, debris, and pet waste.
  • Keep the setup area clear of picnic tables, vehicles, trash cans, and other obstacles.
  • Water slides and wet combos require park approval and a reachable water source.

Delivery Access

  • Confirm where our delivery vehicle may park and unload.
  • The route from the vehicle to the setup area must meet the selected item’s access-width requirement.
  • The delivery route must be level and free of stairs or steps.
  • Confirm gates, bollards, curbs, locked entrances, and restricted vehicle areas before ordering.
  • Allow enough scheduled access time for professional setup, inspection, and pickup.

Generator and Power Planning

Park outlets are often unavailable, locked, too far away, or shared with other park users. A generator is commonly required. Every powered item needs the correct generator capacity and its own approved outlet or circuit.

Power note: Inflatable blowers can draw approximately 11–15 amps during startup and operation. Larger inflatables may require multiple blowers or different generator arrangements. Generator runtime varies with load, fuel level, equipment, and operating conditions. Review each item’s requirements and contact E&J Funday before ordering if you are unsure.
Bounce houses and inflatable rentals at a Little League park event

School, Church, League & Community Park Events

Park rentals work well for team celebrations, Little League events, school gatherings, church picnics, fundraisers, HOA events, family reunions, company picnics, and community festivals. Larger events may need additional planning for power, supervision, insurance, delivery timing, and guest flow.

Party in a Park FAQs

Does E&J Funday reserve the park for me?

No. The customer is responsible for reserving the park or picnic area and obtaining all required permits and approvals before the event.

Do I need permission to have a bounce house at a park?

Usually. Each park has its own rules for inflatables, generators, anchoring, water use, concessions, insurance, and vehicle access. Confirm the requirements directly with the park before reserving equipment.

Can E&J Funday provide proof of insurance?

Contact us with the park’s exact insurance instructions and required wording. Some venues require advance documentation or a certificate naming specific organizations.

Will I need a generator?

Most park events need generator power unless the venue confirms that suitable dedicated outlets are available within the required distance. The generator arrangement depends on the number of blowers and other powered equipment.

Can a water slide be used at a park?

Only when the park permits inflatable water attractions and provides an approved water source that reaches the setup location. Confirm water-use, drainage, surface, anchoring, and hose requirements before ordering.

How much is needed to reserve?

Only $20 is needed to set an eligible equipment reservation. Park permits, site reservations, insurance fees, delivery fees, generators, and other requirements are separate when applicable.

What happens if unsafe weather is expected?

Customer safety comes first. If severe weather or unsafe wind conditions are expected, E&J Funday will work with you under the applicable weather policy to discuss available options before the event.

Ready to Choose Your Park Package?

Confirm the park’s rules first, then choose a package that fits the approved space, surface, power plan, and delivery route. Contact us before ordering if the park has special insurance, access, or scheduling requirements.
